We featured some of our favorite pieces....the teal dresser, door, white bench, and our spool table. It was so fun talking to people and we had alot ask where we were located. :) Hopefully someday we'll have a storefront but until then we're content to grow into that. Thanks to all of you who took time to visit with us....we had a blast!!

Home Show
Saturday was the Home and Garden show here in our home town of Bolivar. We love our community and it was an amazing opportunity to get the word out about Stellar. We've been working for months on finishing furniture and accessories and planning our color story. We think it turned out great.....

The Door....
Many of the pieces we re-do we have a set vision for them. Kim and I like to joke that the pieces speak to us. (Really they do!) But with some pieces we have to listen a little harder, for example...the door. We acquired this wonderful old door. It was a blank canvas and with all the cool things you can do with doors these days for some reason we couldn't settle on a vision.
Kim took a few cans of spray paint and decided to make it look like it had been painted many times and the colors were peeking through. Here's the result.....
We loved this effect and decided it the door would be.......drum roll......an ENTRY PIECE!! We added some stain and embellishment and had our handy dandy carpenter build us an amazing bench. Love love love the end result!!
That's the story of the door. It now has a new purpose in life and we think it's pretty spectacular!

SHOPPING DAY!
Wooo...we had a shopping day and it was awesome. We were on the look out for some fabric for our project at the Banner house so we started our day with a trip to FM Fabric. I don't really know how to explain how much wonderful fabric is in this store. I mean there is ALOT of fabric!
After maneuvering through the first part of the store we found some great samples and also some great fabric for Stellar furniture. Then we met Lewis!!! Highlight #1 of our day. He was super helpful and was nice enough to follow us through the store and cut all the samples we wanted. We had to snap a picture with him!
We found some great fabric for pillows to match our new couch, and to re-upholster some chairs and lots of swatches to show Trina Banner. We love FM Fabric!!
Next up was Urban Market....
It was huge and there were so many things to look at. We didn't buy anything but got some great ideas for future projects. After we left we started back towards home when we saw signs for a swap meet. We followed the signs and they led us to this place.
I honestly can't believe we actually went in the building but I just had a really good feeling about it. We walked in and it was scary!! But alas we walked down a long hallway and found the swap meet. Here's what we found....
They don't look like much but we know they can be spectacular. They have a real industrial feel and we see alot of potential. We ended the day with dinner at Panera/business meeting. Overall a really great trip with lots of laughs.

Staging Tutorial...
Kim and I had the chance to stage a house a few weekends ago and decided to use the opportunity to film a "staging tutorial" video. The house is vacant so we picked a few choice spaces to focus on.
Kitchens and baths sell houses so naturally we set our sights on those. We started in the kitchen....which already looks amazing...and added a kitchen table and some strategically placed decor.
Next we worked on the sunroom. It's a versatile space but we thought it would be great to stage it as a breakfast nook. We put a table that we refinished (also for sale) and set it with simple placemats and napkins.
Here's the before and after of the table....available for purchase just contact us for pricing!

So Stellar is headquartered in a small town and we love that. We're small town girls and are firm believers that just because you live in the country doesn't mean you can't have big city style. But that's just a side note...I visited another ST this weekend and instantly fell in love. Like really....it's adorable, coffee shops, lots of people out and about, artsy little shops, and it's set in a really pretty setting over looking downtown KC. Of course I couldn't help but visit the antique shop and found the most perfect thing for the upcoming Banner Boys room makeover.
Ok so I don't believe in luck but man this was a fun find! I immediately texted the homeowner and she said she had to have it. So it's definitely going into the design for the room. Here are a few other pics from my adventure....
